Great Location to Explore the city, few steps from Santa Croce Church
The Location of Loft Le Murate is ideal to go exploring the city and its masterpieces; Palazzo Vecchio, the Gallery of Uffizi, Piazza della Signoria, the famous designer shops, and all the main monuments and churches are within a short distance on foot.
The apartment is the historic center of Florence, but it's also conveniently located to be reached by car. In front of the loft you find the Murate Complex, once a prison, now wisely restored into a place for cultural events, with a cafe, a book store, a tour agency, and a restaurant pizzeria. Walking left the loft, and running on Via Ghibellina, you find yourself in front of Badia Fiorentina and the wonderful Bargello Museum.
The loft faces Via Ghibellina, one of the most ancient streets in town, with an interesting history. Both Leonardo da Vinci and Michelangelo had their homes in the street!
We are in the lively Santa Croce district, near the amazing Santa Croce Church, in an area full of typical restaurants, bars, pubs, cool shops, and any type of market. Few steps from the loft is the famous Sant'Ambrogio Market, where to find any kind of fresh food. The area is characterized by plenty of beautiful shops.
Easy to reach, with or without a car
A car is not necessary, both the Santa Maria Novella Train Station and the Campo di Marte Train station are 10 minutes away. While, just minutes from the apartment, is a bus stop (Giovine Italia) that you could use to reach the beautiful panoramic Piazzale Michelangelo for the best view over the city! The bus number 13 will take you up to the Piazzale Michelangelo in 10 minutes.
The apartment, however, can be conveniently reached also by car; the near public paid parkings of Sant’Ambrogio and Beccaria both avoid the ZTL area, that is the restricted parking areas of Florence historical center. Parking Sant’Ambrogio is only 2 minutes walking from the apartment. A further place for parking is the Bargello Garage in the same Via Ghibellina.
The location is also great for a romantic and scenic stroll along the Arno River, that you can reach in 5 minutes walking through Via delle Casine, the narrow street soon on the left of the Loft.
